About Me

Hey there!

 

My name is Julia Thompson, and I am a student here at UNC. I  am graduating in 2025, which means I am about halfway through with college. I  really love photography and videography, but have a special love for film. I spend my time taking fun photos with a film camera, and trying to capture the short time I have here in Chapel Hill!

I have also spent much of my time working on graphics for companies and helping run websites and social media accounts. I hope to one day veer into the sport-side of journalism and photo-journalism, mainly focusing on basketball.

However, as you can probably tell from my website, I would consider myself a people-person. I love being around others, socializing, and just being present. I have found that bringing a camera to places with me is the easiest way to make friends and strengthen my relationships with others. I have truly captured some of my most memorable and favorite times in my life on a camera, and I am so thankful for it!
